2008 Vigil Honor Class Named
March 16, 2008 10:05 AM
Any member of the Order Of The Arrow registered in scouting and in good standing with their Lodge is eligible for recommendation for elevation to the Vigil Honor, provided that the individual has been a brotherhood member for a minimum of two years.
However, the Vigil Honor is a distinction worn proudly and more than just a handsomely decorated certificate. The Vigil Honor is the highest level an individual can receive in the Order Of The Arrow, and it is also the hardest to achieve. In no manner is tenure in scouting or the order reason to receive the Vigil Honor. Chiefly Speaking - March 2008
For
everyone that is not aware of the great deeds that
our lodge has done, listen up. In January, the Lodge
passed a motion that allocated $7,000 to purchases
projectors, laptops, and speakers for the Council,
Districts, and also individual Units to use. The
reason for purchasing this equipment is to make camp
promotion, a goal of the Order of the Arrow, more
feasible at all levels. These projectors and laptops
can be signed out at the front desk of Flag Plaza for
any Unit or District that would like to use them to
enhance their program. Arrowman, it is your
responsibility to spread the word of their existence
and of their availability for your Unit, to help your
Unit and the Units in your District to grow!
