2008 Vigil Honor Class Named

Any member of the Order Of The Arrow registered in scouting and in good standing with their Lodge is eligible for recommendation for elevation to the Vigil Honor, provided that the individual has been a brotherhood member for a minimum of two years.
However, the Vigil Honor is a distinction worn proudly and more than just a handsomely decorated certificate. The Vigil Honor is the highest level an individual can receive in the Order Of The Arrow, and it is also the hardest to achieve. In no manner is tenure in scouting or the order reason to receive the Vigil Honor. It is an award in which written rules do not determine and individuals qualifications for, but rather what the actions that he or she performs.
